A Canvas Exploring the Intersection of Humanity and Technology

In my latest work, “Social Hack,” I delve into the complex relationship between human experience and the technological forces shaping modern life. The canvas is dominated by vibrant fluorescent green, symbolizing energy, vitality, and the urgency of technological progress. The hue captures the essence of our fast-paced, digitally driven world, where innovation and transformation happen at an unprecedented rate. The use of graphite adds an organic, almost ephemeral quality to the work. Graphite, with its subtle texture and inherent darkness, represents the quiet yet powerful undercurrent of human thought and experience. It grounds the composition, serving as a contrast to the sharp intensity of the green.

Incorporating Prussian blue introduces a sense of depth and mystery. This deep, rich tone suggests a vast, almost cosmic expanse that mirrors the unknown dimensions of human consciousness and belief systems, especially as they are being reshaped by modern technology. The juxtaposition of the green with the dark, cool blue invites the viewer to engage in a dialogue between the rapid, neon-lit evolution of technology and the enduring, contemplative nature of the human spirit.

As the work develops, I also integrate found objects—pieces of computer hardware These components introduce an element of materiality that bridges the gap between the organic and the synthetic. The inclusion of these digital fragments transforms the artwork into a commentary on the pervasive influence of technology, forcing us to reflect on its role in shaping our existence and belief systems.

The title, “Social Hack,” refers to the manipulation of social constructs through technology—an exploration of how digital tools and networks impact identity and relationships in contemporary society. Through this painting, I invite viewers to consider how these technological forces are not just external structures but are deeply embedded in our own evolving perceptions of self and divinity.

As I continue to layer textures and materials, I strive to create a harmonious interaction between the traditional and the modern, the organic and the synthetic, ensuring that each element adds depth and meaning to the narrative.
